Which sugar test strip for milk should I use?
Choose a sucrose strip to check for added sucrose or a glucose strip to check for glucose. The sucrose detection limit is 0.08%, with a four-minute reading time. The glucose detection limit is 0.025%, with a 30-second reading time. Neither test measures total sugar or natural lactose in milk.
Which strips screen neutralizers, preservatives and added solids?
Use the neutralizer strip for caustic soda, carbonates and bicarbonates, the hydrogen peroxide strip for peroxide, and dedicated salt or maltodextrin strips for those adulterants. Check the detection limit and reading time for your chosen test, and follow the bottle instructions.
What is the detection limit for urea test strips for milk?
The added-urea detection limit is 0.022%. Read the result after 30 seconds, following the bottle instructions. Investigate unexpected results through your dairy quality process.
